The OANM has adopted the following resolutions:

In 1998, the CANM passed the following resolution:

that the CANM recognize certification in nuclear medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the College des medicins du Quebec as the standard for entry to the practice of nuclear medicine in Canada

The OANM has also endorsed the CANM resolution 0201:

that Royal College Certification in Nuclear Medicine or certification from the College des medicins du Quebec be required as a minimal pre-qualification before being appointed as a medical practitioner for a Nuclear Medicine Department and/or facility.
